Pauline was more of a sister than a aunt to me. We fought as children and loved as families love! She is in a heavenly reunion with Parents, sister’s and brothers so let’s rejoice because they rejoice in Pauline-Gilliam coming home!

Ms. Pauline thank you for being a bright light and friend in my mom's life. I remember the joy and laughter you shared with us. You birthed beautiful children and am personally grateful for Tasha. She turned out to be an amazing soul with a great character who is a protector and friend. Your bright smile and spirit will be missed yet I pray our paths cross again next life time.

My memories of my sister Pauline was when I was 5-14 years old making grape jelly toast sandwiches with butter which we cut into four pieces and sipping tea. Being a big sister giving me my first Afro which our mom was against that. When I was in college and was struggling paying rent, Pauline would make sure I had food to eat. I baby sat her kids back in the day in Arlington heights. I lived in Tucson Arizona and would take her Ebonee shopping and take her out. Pauline made the best macaroni and cheese, so many things I will always remember. Her being kind, and give you the shirt off her back. We played music and danced often, listing to Peabody Bryson and Diana Ross such fond memories. She attending my college graduation here in Columbus OH with her grandchildren, I was glad we got to spend time together. She cooked for me and I cooked for her. I spoke to her in a video call 2 days before she passed. I did not know that would be the last time I saw her smile. I love you sister you are forever in my heart. Doreen Gilliam Johnson.

Ms Pauline where do I begin.. You werey momma best friend! My momma called you her sister. you raised me and Michael an Samantha like we was your children when my mom would work late. You’re love for us was endless. Mom always told us if you don’t get it together I’m taking you Pauline and she’s going to cook only cream of wheat! Lol you would try to get us to eat it but we wouldn’t. You had such beautiful intentions for us all.
When I had my babies and took them to the house you were so excited to see them. “Saying Jordan looks like Michael and Kayla looked like a baby doll.” When I got married and you moved next door to me I loved it! My 4 babies had the best babysitter and you always cooked them dinner.
My kids remember seeing you with grandma and both just laughing so hard.
I could go on forever I have so many beautiful memories with you. My heart hurts. Rest my sweet love I love you Ms Pauline!

I am teary eyed right now! A beautiful soul has transcended this realm and I wasn't there to hold her hands like she did for me during the death of my baby son. I will always treasure our kinship and friendship! As you journey to the next destination, go in PEACE, Love, Truth, Freedom and Justice. Thank you for the times you laughed, cried and sat with me. Thank you for the continuation of Life Lessons. Thank you for showing me true friendship and loyalty. Even tough you are gone from my presence, you will remain in my heart and mind. We will meet again some fine day and hug, laugh, sing and dance again! With all my LOVE~Valencia Johnson-Ford
