Estella,
It has been a few years since I last spoke to you. I was wondering what my old coworker friends were up to, and looked you up. I am so saddened by your passing, but I know that you and your family shared a deep faith. You were always a joy to be with, so helpful, kind and funny. I will always remember you as a bright spot in my time working at Blenman.
Love, Laura Seifert

Reuben, Santos, Veronica & famly, Sending Love and Prayers for all Estella's family and friends, we were friends many years ago while stationed together in Hawaii. Just reconnected not long ago and talked over the phone at length, really enjoyed hearing her voice and reconnecting with her. Was hopeful for a possible reunion in the future. Darrell and I are at a loss for words. We will always treasure those memories made, our times together were always filled with laughter. May her sweet soul live on in the hearts of all that cherish her memory. Darrell and Vicki

I was blessed to also work with and become friends with Estella when she was first a parent, then monitor, and my teacher’s aide. I knew she had a passion to teach and was so excited when she decided to go back to school. I was fortunate that she chose me to be her cooperating teacher when she did her student teaching. What a great time we had! I think I learned more from her than she did from me!
She was a outstanding educator, a wonderful wife, mother, sister, daughter and friend to so many.
I know she is now Arian’s guardian angel. We will miss you here on earth but know we will meet again on the other side. Love and miss you my beautiful friend.

I met Estella when I had the opportunity to volunteer in her classroom while I was at the U of A. I was with her for three years after that, and had the wonderful opportunity to student teach in her room the following year. She was the most incredible teacher I have ever met. She was always kind and always patient. She was such a hard worker and she had a big heart. She always went above and beyond for her students and for her friends. She went above and beyond for me. She believed in me and she made me the teacher I am today. I strive to follow her example in my classroom every single day. Her teachings, her songs, her poems, and her stories will live on forever in the hearts of our students.

I met Estella almost two years ago, as I joined her kinder team, she was so welcoming, kind, and her love, dedication to education and children shined so bright. She was always smiling and laughing in even the most challenging times. Estella was always at the school late into the evening working hard and she was always there to listen and talk. I will miss our late night talks and laughs at school. It ended too soon. Thank you, Estella for touching my heart and being my friend. You are pretty special, they must have needed you more in among the stars for the children.

I have known Estella for 13 years. She was a fantastic teacher and friend. She loved all her students and they loved her. Estella was a friend to all the staff at Blenman. She was my friend and support both in and out of school. I have so many fond memories. Joining her and her class on field trips to the zoo and pumpkin patch. Walking and talking around Reid Park. Climbing up Tumamoc Hill. Our once a month early morning breakfasts. Hanging out at Chuys. I will miss your friendship, smiling face, and the love you shared. Rest In Peace my friend. Until we meet again. Love you. Gayle

I first met Estella when I was an SFA reading tutor at Blenman. I didn't know her well. but later I became a substitute, and my first assignment as a sub was in her Kindergarten classroom. When I arrived I was scared out of my mind, and wasn't too sure of myself. I let her know and asked her, "What if I mess it up and can't do it?' and she just giggled that infectious laugh of hers and said, "You'll do fine." and that was the end of it. She had the utmost confidence in me when I didn't have it in myself. She seemed to have that effect on people, making them feel at ease with themselves when they were feeling down or lacking confidence, and she passed that on to her students, who I'm sure were terrified to be away from home and their mothers for the first time in their lives, just like I was terrified on that first substitute assignment in her classroom. Estella became their 2nd mother, and when I later taught third and fourth grade at Blenman, some of my students still mentioned her. I substituted in her room whenever I could when she was out, and would bring my guitar and harmonica and play for her students. She always allowed me to change her lesson plans to share a part of myself with her students, and I do that to this very day, even today in my sub plans, because of her. My last time teaching Kindergarten in her room I was vomited on and didn't teach Kinder again, not because of the vomit, but because I felt I had more to offer students who were a little older, but I'll always remember that last time in her room, like I will always remember the first time. I ended receiving a teaching position at Blenman and worked with Estella for 7 years. I never saw Estella mean or mad at anyone. She was a very positive person and affected many children and adults during the course of her career. I can still hear her laugh and her saying, "You'll be fine." I think you will be fine too Estella, resting in the arms of the Lord, and we will miss you, but remember your warmth and kindness. "Death leaves a heartache no one can heal; Love leaves a memory no one can steal." Irish Blessing

I have an emptiness I have been unable to fill of late. The void is deep. You see, my friend is no longer here, physically that is. I hear her, see her, and remember her. “Are you ready to go home, Mary? Not yet? Neither am I, let me know, we’ll walk out together.” We were told by others that we closed the school, because we usually left last. Of course, we did our work, and prepared for the following day’s activities. But, we also shared a little of ourselves with each other. We had some good conversations, because you know, Estella loved to talk.
Estella was a great teacher, and a mentor to other teachers. She especially loved her students and took pride in how they flourished. Students would come and visit her and thank her for being their teacher. “Of course, I remember you…”
They say we meet the necessary people for the different seasons in our life. I am glad to call Estella my friend. However, the halls of Blenman Elementary will surely feel bare and echo from the emptiness of Estella’s absence. Love You Estella and God Bless You! Mary

Estella Beltran was one of the first people to welcome me to the Blenman Family when I was hired. During the beginning of the year staff meetings Estella and I bonded over our love of cats. She would always send me pictures of the strays that she and her husband fed, and urged my wife and I to adopt one.
I would see Estella at the end of every day at Parent Pickup. There, we would shepherd students off to their parents. Estella would always watch over the little kindergarteners. Her passion for them was boundless. No matter how difficult a student could be, Estella would never complain. She was always kind.
Blenman will not be the same without her, and she will be missed. Rest in Peace, Estella.

Estella Beltran was a stupendous teacher & a caring person. I remember my last year as an SFA Reading Facilitator at Blenman and testing her class. She had an ESL class with mostly new to the U.S. non-English speakers. She worked diligently to teach her students to read. I was amazed while testing her students that 100% of her class passed the assessment, a challenging feat even for the best teachers of all English speaking children. She was always amazing! This is such a loss. Prayers for her family!!!

Estella was my mentor, co-worker and dear friend. I met Estella in 2005 when I was student-teaching at Blenman. I remember how welcoming and kind she was to everyone which made me so excited to join her team the following year to teach kindergarten. Estella was an incredible role model for all of us and always greeted everyone with a smile. I will forever cherish our days together and the love she gave to everyone around her. She was deeply compassionate and gentle while teaching as she genuinely cared for each child. She made everyone feel at ease and always entertained my crazy teaching ideas. Estella loved her family intensely and her face would light up when she would mention them. You taught us so much more than academics, Estella...you taught us how to be a better person and friend. You are forever in our hearts.

My aunt Stella was such a beautiful person in life. Her smile... her sweet laugh... and her witty intelligence always made you excited to see her and be around her. As a child I will never forget her nurturing character.
One time before her trip to France her small gitty nephew Nick asked her to bring him back a souvenir. To his delight when she returned she brought him back a miniature Eiffel tower. This memory sparked an interest in traveling the world the rest of his life. I will miss her so much.

Our beloved Estella, you will make heaven shine, brighter than any star in the sky. You radiated happiness and kindness through your endless acts towards everyone. I remember the first day we met. It was 19 years ago.. You interviewed me for a Kindergarten position at Blenman Elementary. I remember thinking how your sweet smile made me feel at ease. From that day forward, you became my teaching partner, my friend, my confidant, but most of all my laughing partner. I remember every Halloween, I would jump out of the halls to scare you. You would just burst into laughter. Oh, how I will miss laughing with you. You were such an amazing teacher. Your kids adored you but then again who didn't. I know that you are probably singing your songs in heaven. For 19 years, we walked the halls together, ate lunch together, and laughed about the silliest things. I will forever cherish your friendship, talks, and memories we had together. I love you so much. Enjoy the beauty that awaits you. I will continue to enjoy the beauty of you which will always remain in my heart.
