Bob was one of the kindness men I've ever met. Eddie considered Bob his best friend. Lately I would text Bob every week or so,I was shocked that after the last surgery, I texted Bob and he told me he was feeling very good, I'll miss you Bob, but I know your not lonesome .

I could write a book about our, over twenty year friendship. However, I'll just say this: Rest well Bob, and thanks for all the laughs. Plus, I thank-you for sharing your life and your beautiful friends and family with me.
Love Tuck

My late husband, Bubba and I attended Bob's retirement weekend and had a great time. Bubba also went to Forest Road School and graduated with Bob from LT. It was always great to see him at reunions etc. The two Bobs were lifelong buddies. I hope they are partying together in Heaven.

"Off we go into the wild blue yonder....." These words/lyrics written 1947. For Bob I think, as he landed on earth 1 year later (1948) He has now taken his 'Honor Flight' home. Happy landing! Thanks for your friendship, Bob.

Last time Bob and I had communications was on May 10 when he wished myself and a friend Nancy Happy Mother's Day. He told us we were going to lunch when everything went back to normal and was buying and all we had to do was pick the place. I worked with Bob at Davis Monthan soon after 9/11 and he asked me to do his Air Force retirement ceremony, I was honored. He was truly a loving and caring good friend that's for sure. He is going to be missed greatly. Prayers for his family.

So sorry to hear about Bob. I also have know him since our early days at Forest Road. We lived on the street before his, or after, depending which way you are going. I use to cut through the yard behind his house, through the bushes and end up in his back yard.

The Matook Family loved and adored this extraordinary beloved man, Bob! Our precious Father, Victor Matook, Sr. treasured his friendship, humor and such funny stories that kept us on the edge of our seat in laughter. God bless his beautiful family and friends and all those who loved him...and those HE loved. While it is rightly said every man's death diminishes us all...the death of Bob diminished us more than most. He was the comforting voice that held our broken hearts upon my Fathers passing on April 18, 2018. I know they are together in Heaven again. Until we all meet again in Christ. Amen.

At the end of Bob's military career, I had a retirement party for him at my home in Tucson. Bob's friends came to Tucson from all over the country to wish him well, also his beloved mother, Anne, daughter Tammy, sister Patti, and one of the grands. Well, I thought maybe 35 to 40 people, including his working family, but, we ended up with at least 80 people, and instead of lighting floating candles for the pool, we had to light the fireplace, one of Tucsons unusual cold spells. We had the best weekend, Bob was thrilled that so many would come. He was so well loved! His passing leaves a big hole in our hearts.

I've known Bob since elementary school in LaGrange Park. He was always a real good guy. Quick to laugh and ready for fun. It was great being with him and John at one of our last FR reunions in AZ. Thank you for your service to our country. You went above and beyond. God bless you.
