Janet Carter

Obituary of Janet M. Carter

Carter, Janet (nee James)

On Friday, May 18, 2018, Janet Carter, wife, mother, daughter and sister, passed away at the age of 70 years.  Janet will be lovingly remembered by her children Casey (Tammy), Carrie (Brandon), Ben (Michele), and Molly.  Janet is preceded in death by her one, true love James "Larry" Carter, and her parents Delbert and Evelyn James.

A native of Burien, Washington, Janet used her Albertson's Bakery money to go on vacation to Hawaii and met Larry Carter who was stationed there with the Navy.  After a short courtship, Larry and Janet were married on November 14, 1970 in Seattle, Washington. Shortly after, the couple moved to Vernon, Florida where they would eventually spend most of their years.  Janet retired as a teacher from the Vernon School System where she spent a majority of the time as the "computer lady."  Janet's life ended in Mesa, Arizona.  Some of her loves included kittens, candies, all the flowers but particularly roses and pansies, and cool Arizona breezes.

Janet leaves behind two sisters, two brothers, 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild.  She rejoins Larry on the other side.
