Obituary of Frank U. Solomon Jr.

Frank Solomon was born on October 12, 1932 and was called home by the Lord on January 19, 2024. He was born in Whittier, California and had lived in Tucson since the age of 10. Frank is preceded in death by his parents Frank and Mary Solomon, siblings Robert, Edward, John, and Gloria Blashfield. His youngest son Steven was called home on January 20, 2024. He is survived by his wife of 65 years Josephine, sons Robert and Anthony, grandchildren Frank( Chip), and Bernadette, great granddaughters Isabella, and Stella, sister Irene(Alex),and many nephews and nieces. Frank served his country in the military for 32 years. He entered the Marine Corps at 16 1/2 years of age and at 18 years of age joined the army. For the last years of his service, he was in the Army National Guard. Frank was a Korean War veteran. His love and loyalty to family, country, Salpointe High School, Notre Dame, and ASU was very evident. Everyone who knew Frank will always remember his sense of humor, his love of western and war movies, and his love of classic TV shows like Perry Mason. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him.
