Obituary of Edwin G. Ernst

Edwin Gustav Ernst, age 82 of Tucson, passed away on Thursday January 11 at Agave Hills. A memorial service will be held at Brings Funeral Home on Friday February 23 at 10am, with fellowship afterwards. 

 Ed was born in New York City in 1941 to Morris and Helen (Ring) Ernst. He moved to Tucson at 8 years old. Ed graduated from the University of Arizona with a business degree. Ed was a member of the shooting team in college, enjoying the title of "Top Shot" in his class. Ed moved to California where he became a buyer for a department store. Ed also met Charlene Rockwell, his wife to be. 

Later on Ed became a district and a regional manager for Marshalls department stores. This job took Ed several places throughout his career, living in Houston, Chicago and the Quad Cities. 

In 2006 Ed accepted Jesus into his life. After that Ed started walking in his new life. Ed became active in several churches in the the Tucson area. Ed was involved in serving, helps and became a chaplain. Ed enjoyed horseback riding, baseball games and watching Fox News. Ed is survived by his former wife Charlene Burkley, his brother Ira Ernst, his son Scott (Audra) Ernst, his daughter Cherish Ernst, his grandson Isaac Ernst, his granddaughter Aleigha Ernst and his niece Jessica Ernst.
