Obituary of Ann Shelton

Ann D. Shelton, age 89, and a resident of Vail, AZ passed away on October 25, 2023. She was a native of Pima County and a former employee of St. Joes Hospital.

She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing various card games and board games. She also liked traveling to South Dakota to visit family.

She was a Charter member of the American Legion 109, and Auxiliary member of the VFW 549. She also was an Auxiliary member of the Sea-Bees. She took great pride in volunteering for all of these agencies.

She is survived by her son, Scott Shelton and daughter-in-law, Sue Ellen Shelton of Prairieville, LA., her daughter, Sandra Shelton of Vail AZ., Seven grandchildren and spouses which include: David Blair, Danielle DelBozque, Rhea Shelton, Stephanie and Matt Faucheaux, Joey and Elizabeth Shelton, Brittney Tynes, and Bradley and Miranda Roberts. There are eleven great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Lillian Lane of Gregory, South Dakota and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Shelton, her parents, Joseph and Mamie Hlavka, and brother Emil Hlavka.

Visitation will be at Brings Funeral Home on Friday, November 3rd, 2023 from 11:00 am – 1:30 pm. Burial will follow at East Lawn Cemetery.
