Neville Richards III

Obituary of Neville B. Richards III

Neville Richards, a man whose smile lit up a room, was born in Mount Kisco, New York on September 26, 1967, and died peacefully among friends and family on September 24, 2023.

Neville is survived by his mother, Peggy Richards, and his sister Ann Richards, as well as family and friends across the nation.  He is predeceased by his father Blake Richards; as well as both his paternal and maternal grandparents.

Neville was considered to be non-verbal but was one of the best communicators anyone would meet.  He loved to give more than receive and he gave his whole heart to those he loved.  He was not expected to live to be a year old and as a friend texted to us, “he showed them.”  He loved to travel, spend time with family and friends.  He also found joy in all the caretakers who interacted with him throughout his life.  He loved to joke and a smile like he was getting away with something that was infectious.  To know Neville was to know someone who enjoyed life to the fullest even with a body that did not work the way he would have liked.  One friend summed up Neville the best, “Forever a fighter who knew what he wanted and usually got it.”

A visitation will be held at Bring’s Funeral Home on Sunday October 1, 2023, from 4-6pm and a funeral mass will be held on Monday October 2, 2023 at 10am at St. Francis de Sales.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his name to:
