Obituary of Isabel Vigil

Isabel Vigil died peacefully surrounded by family in her Tucson home on August 9, 2023. Isabel was born in Mora, NM, on May 11, 1948, to Mary Lucero and Vidal Benavidez, who preceded her in death. She was the oldest of nine, survived by seven siblings, and preceded in death by her sister Beatrice. Isabel grew up in Santa Fe and later moved to Tucson, AZ. She was a talented seamstress, baker, and cook. She spent many days sewing and cooking for friends and family. Isabel is survived by her children, Sam Vigil, Patricia Porras, Lillian Longacre (Mike), and Olivia Longacre (Patrick), and her grandchildren, Victoria, Jacqueline, and Jeremiah Vigil, Alyssa and Candace Porras, Hallie Longacre,Lauren Draper and Sevrin and Reagan O'Connor and great grandchildren Arraiyna, Avaneiy, Di’Angelo, and Dominic. Isabel was sweet, caring, and loved by her family, who are planning a celebration of life at a later date. We encourage anyone wanting to attend to contact the family for details.
