Obituary of Patricia Elora Flanagan

Patricia Elora Flanagan passed away peacefully in Tucson, Arizona on July 31, 2023 at the age of 98.

Patricia was born on January 3, 1925 in Grand Detour, Illinois to Alice K. (Tully) Cooper and Ross L. Cooper.

She graduated from Dixon HIgh School, Dixon, Illinois and was employed by the Northern Illinois Utilities Company for two years.  In December 1945 at St. Patrick's Church in Dixon, Patricia married Captain Earl J. Flanagan after his return from service in the Pacific with the Army Air Forces.  With Earl's Air Force career, Patricia and Earl followed a path that took them to ten different locations, including Izmir, Turkey, Colorado Springs, and Tacoma, Washington.  They retired to Colorado Springs and Patricia eventually moved to Tucson where her son Tom and his family live.

She was predeceased by her husband Earl, son John, sisters Margaret Ortgiesen and Alice White, and brother Edward Cooper.

Patricia is survived by son Thomas Flanagan (Jan) of Tucson, daughter Susan Flanagan of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.  

A burial service will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado.
