Obituary of MaryLou Burke

MaryLou Burke, 88 years old, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend:  born on September 15, 1934 in Oaklahoma and passed away June 28, 2023 in Tucson AZ.

MaryLou grew up in Ft. Worth, Texas where she graduated from TCU. She married the love of her life, Lt. Colonal Joeseph Burke, on June 23, 1956. She traveled to many Air Force Bases and settled in Tucson in 1971, where they raised two sons, Richard and Paul. She was very involved in her church and sorority, Beta Sigma Phi, chapter Tau Master.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Colonal Joeseph Burke, and son, Paul Burke. She is survived by son, Richard (Sally) Burke of Tucson. Grandchildren, Amy and Angela Burke of Tucson, Christopher Burke of Yuma, Joshua Pilger of Phoenix, and Leah Negrete of Yuma, as well as 10 great-grandchildren.

Wake/viewing will be held on Thursday, July 6th, from 3-5 pm at Bring's Broadway Chapel at 6910 E. Broadway. Rosary will be held at 4:30 pm. Funeral service to be held on Friday, July 7th, at 11:00 am at Our Mother of Sorrows at 1800 S Kolb Rd. Burial to follow at All Faiths Cemetery at 2151 S Avenida Los Reyes. Celebration of Life to follow at VFW-Post 549 at 8424 E Old Spanish Trail.
