Obituary of David Richard Rains

David Richard Rains, 80, passed away on June 12, 2023, surrounded by his children.  He was called home to be reunited with his wife, Lori Ann Rains, who passed on 10/4/2012.

David was a railroad engineer most of his life.  After he retired, he volunteered at St. Joseph's Hospital.  He brought joy to everyone he encountered.  He had many friends and a dry sense of humor.  He loved spending time with family, visiitng his favorite restaurant establishments and watching old westerns.  He valued honesty and had a great respect for the armed forces. 

David is survived by, and will be deeply missed, by his family and friends, including his children, Bobbie, Robin and Davy; his three grandchildren, Taryn, Taylor and Trey; and his great-grandchild, Philip.
