Obituary of Hortencia Valenzuela

HORTENCIA VALENZUELA 91, passed away with loved ones by her side on May 16, 2023. Preceded in death by her husband of 64 years David M. Valenzuela, her daughter Lillian Doe, parents Jose and Carmen Urrea and 6 siblings. She is survived by her sisters Monchi Delgado and Clara Ochoa, her children, Diane (Ruben) Hubbard, David Jr. (Maria) Valenzuela and Sandra (Rob) Mathews along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great- great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly and her furry companion, Rocky who was always by her side. Hortencia was raised in Oracle, Az and later moved to Tucson, Az. She worked briefly at St Mary’s Hospital then the family moved to Norwalk, Ca and later returned to Tucson, Az. Hortencia enjoyed crossword puzzles, loved to travel, listening to music and watching boxing with her family. She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother; she would pray every day for everyone including the animals. She was always there for her family and will be greatly missed by all that loved her.  forever in our hearts we love you Mom, God bless you always! Visitation will be held at Bring Funeral Home, 6910 E Broadway, Tucson, Az on Wednesday June 7, 2023, from 5 – 7pm and Rosary at 7pm.  Mass will be held at 10am on Thursday June 8, 2023, at St. Augustine Cathedral 192 S. Stone Ave, Tucson, Az interment to follow at Holy Hope Cemetery 3555 N. Oracle Rd Tucson, Az.  The family will be holding a Celebration of Life for Mr. and Mrs. Valenzuela and Lillian Doe at a later date.
