Obituary of Shirley Victoria Degan

Shirley Victoria Degan (nee Smith)of McLean New York died February 26,2023 leaving behind six children; three daughters Deborah (William) Hibdon, Victoria (Enrique) Ruiz, Susan (Richard) Shelton and three sons John (Joanne) Degan, Shawn (Stacy) Degan and Paul (Christa) Degan along with her many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Proceeding Shirley in death was her beloved husband of 34 years, John Thomas Degan who passed away in 1989.

Shirley was a dedicated Catholic mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and Aunt.   Shirley was a cosmetologist and a member of the Society of Military Widows, Red Hats Society and actively involved with the Catholic Church.    Shirley enjoyed cooking, traveling, golfing, sewing, knitting, crocheting and spending time with her family.

Mass Services to be held March 13, 2023 at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church
1800 S. Kolb Road, Tucson, Arizona at 11:00 A.M.

Graveside services and internment will be held at Holy Hope Catholic Cemetery at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, March 13, 2023.

Her wishes for any and all memorials and/or donations to be bestowed to Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church in Tucson, Arizona.
