Evelyn Rose Weaver

August 19, 1933 – November 13, 2022

With sadness, our family announces the departure of our mother, Evelyn Rose Weaver, who at the age of 89 peacefully passed away during the early morning hours of November 13, 2022.

Evelyn Rose Weaver was born in Lexington, Oklahoma on August 19, 1933 as the first child of Raymond and Gladys Collins.  For much of life she was married to Larrye Weaver, and they had five children – Victoria Rose Wallis, Larrye Chris Weaver, Sandra Lynn Weaver, Brett Thomas Weaver (deceased), and Gregory John Weaver.  Evelyn had nine grandchildren (Darvin Wallis Jr, Austin Wallis, Tyson Wallis, Brian Weaver, Keith Weaver, Dianne Weaver, Joslyn Griffin, Brandon Weaver, and Blake Weaver) and eight great grandchildren.

Evelyn was a special person, being a loving mother, an exceptional homemaker, a renowned cook, and a talented interior decorator.  She had a keen sense of adventure, traveling widely across the States, Europe, and spending time in Africa.  Her zest for life was embraced through a penchant for laughter, while her love for giving was anticipated with excitement by droves of grand children through her traveling “Magic Bag”.  She was one of the rare individuals who ceaselessly gave and unconditionally loved – making the world a better place for those lucky enough to know her.

Though Evelyn has reached the junction of the circle of life known as death, her memories will continue to live with her family and friends for generations to come.
