Obituary of Julia M. Soltero

Julia Medina Soltero, age 95, passed away peacefully November 12, 2022 at The Gardens at San Carlos in Tucson, AZ.  Julia was born January 7, 1927 in Tucson, Arizona to Quidino and Petra Medina. 

Julia married John Soltero June 24, 1947 at the Holy Family Church.  She and John were married for 75 years.

Julia lived in Tucson all of her life except for the nine years she spent as a military wife traveling the world.  Julia loved her family.  She liked to cook for her family and friends.  Julia also loved to travel.

Julia is survived by her husband John, son John Soltero (Susana), daughter Sandra Soltero, and daughter Julie Waugh (Jeff); grandchildren, Denise, Elizabeth, J.B., Marc, Micaela, Anna, Micah, Elijah and Jacqueline; and several great grandchildren and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Please join us for a funeral mass Tuesday morning November 22, 2022 at 10 am at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Tucson, AZ. Before the service, there will be a viewing between 8:30-9:15 am at Bring’s Funeral Home on Broadway.
