Obituary of Loretta M. Williams

Loretta McCorkle Williams of Tucson, went to be with Jesus on May 26, 2015. She entered heaven following four days of peaceful transition, lovingly surrounded by her family. Loretta was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Ed Williams. She is survived by three sons, Gary (Susie) Williams, Lance (Anne) Williams and Jack (Ginny) Garner; her brother, Richard (Mary Belle) McCorkle; 20 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews - all who cherished her. We were blessed by Loretta's sweet spirit, strong values and how she modeled the importance of family caring for one another - having heard her say, "I love you" a thousand times. It was our great joy to have celebrated her 90th birthday last July. Loretta was a beautiful reflection of her Jesus. She worked in TUSD schools as a bookstore clerk and office manager and then as a church secretary for over 20 years. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, May 31, 2015, 11:00 a.m. at Bethel Community Baptist Church.
