Obituary of Adelbert Lippert

Al was born Adelbert Herman Lippert on November 4, 1926 to Anna Schnell Lippert and Edmund Lippert in Liberty County, Wisconsin. He passed away on July 16, 2015 in Tucson, Arizona. His wife of 62 years, Mary, and his brother Emro preceded him in death. He is survived by sons, Darrel (Cheryl) and Dean (Laurie); daughter, Deborah Lippert and grandchildren, Dustin ((Marina), Brandon and Sedona Lippert, as well his brothers Raymond of Manitowoc, WI, Merlin of Tucson, and Larry of Kingman, AZ. Al was born on a farm and his first job was working in a bakery in Valders, Wisconsin. He then began his painting career. Al moved to Tucson in 1951 and started Al's Paint Service and Lippert Builders, which he successfully ran until his health began to deteriorate. He was a member of the Elks, the Eagles, & the Moose lodges. Al enjoyed fishing, golfing, bowling, and was an avid hunter. He passed on his love of hunting to his children and grandchildren and helped create many special hunting memories for his family. Al coached his sons in Palo Verde Little League for many years. He bowled in Tucson's Industrial Bowling league and continued to sponsor a Lippert Builders bowling team. Al also bowled in the Tucson city bowling tournament for over 30 years. He sponsored a Lippert Builders fast pitch softball team for many years. Al was an active member of Calvary Lutheran Church and then the New Spirit Lutheran Church and he helped many people. Some of Al's many likes were attending his grandchildren's school and sporting events, playing pinochle & sheepshead card games, keeping up the yard & pool, & watching sports on TV, especially the University of Arizona teams and the Green Bay Packers. Thank you for your humor that endured even through your illness. We will love you always Dad and Grandpa! In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred, and would be appreciated to: TMC Hospice or the American Red Cross.
