Obituary of Jean Lillian Lipsett

Jean Lillian Lipsett Born December 15, 1932 in Boston MA, passed away on August 26, 2015. Jean was the loving wife of Howard J Lipsett for over 62 years. Jean was preceded in death by both her parents, Parker F Hurlburt and Ruth M Powers, daughters Patricia Ann Lipsett and Diane Marie Horn. Jean leaves behind sisters Dorothy DaRosa, Linda Green and brothers Edmund Powers and Parker Hurlburt. Jean also leaves behind her daughters Donna Kelley and Linda Osmer along with her husband Willard (Bill) Osmer. Jean had 5 grandsons, Jason Kelley and his wife Misty, Brandon Osmer and his wife Kinlee, Clayton Osmer, TJ Horn and Chris Horn. Jean also has 4 great grandchildren, Lexie, Roy, Kinzie and Kendle as well as several nieces and nephews. Jean served as a corporal in the United States Army for 3 years during the Korean War. During her military service is where she met, fell in love and married her husband Howard. They were married in Yokohoma Japan in 1953. Jean spent years as a Girl Scout leader, a junior bowling coach and working as a bookkeeper. Jean and Howard loved to travel and in recent years traveled to Canada and for their 60th anniversary went on an Alaskan cruise. Jean had friends and family from coast to coast who loved and cherished her in so many ways. She loved her family and cherished her grandchildren and friends. She loved to bowl, play cards and spend time with her family. Jean with Howard had a special place in their hearts for Toys for Tots and spent years raising money for the foundation. Donations to Toys for Tots in honor of Jean will be greatly appreciated. Our hearts are broken with the loss of this amazing woman who impacted so many lives. She will be missed by many as she is loved by all. Rest in Peace and be with God and Family in Heaven.
