Obituary of Philip C. Benner

Philip C. Benner, 68, passed away Sept. 6, 2015 after a 2 year struggle with leukemia. He is survived by his wife and soul mate of 45 years, Terry; son, Philip T. and his wife Christy; and granddaughter Annalecia. He was a gentle and loving man who thoroughly enjoyed life and had many varied interests. He was an accomplished mechanic and carpenter. He served as a sergeant in the US Army Infantry and retired as a captain for the Tonawanda Police Department in Western NY. But more than anything, he was a husband, father, and friend you could always count on when you needed anything. He leaves many dear friends across the US and Canada.
