Obituary of Gary Michael Kirpes

Gary Michael Kirpes was born January 22, 1951 in Colfax, Washington. On October 16, 2015 Gary passed away after suffering a long courageous battle with cancer. Gary grew up in Colton, Washington and joined the Navy right after high school in 1969. He served on the USS Enterprise and was stationed off the coast of Vietnam during the war. After his military service he settled in San Diego, California where he worked as a glazier and met his wife Mary Morales, they were married at St. Therese Catholic Church in San Diego on August 23, 1980 Gary enjoyed the outdoors and living in San Diego, Utah and Tucson where he spent time with family and friends. Riding bikes with his family and hiking were the activities he enjoyed the most, he also was an avid reader and great historian. Gary leaves behind his wife of 35 years and two sons, Michael and Daniel both of Tucson. He is also survived by his brothers, Tom of Tucson, Morrie of Clarkston, Washington and Ted of Enumclaw, Washington, also numerous nephews. Gary was preceded in death by his parents Harold & Margaret Kirpes and also his older brother Jack. He is now free of pain and has gone home to be with our Lord in heaven.
