Obituary of Mary A. Fields

Mary Alice Fields Mary Alice Fields, 99, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 26th, 2015 in Tucson, Arizona. Mary was born September 26th, 1916 in Evansville, Indiana to the late Sebastian and Lillian Riedford. She married the late Robert James Fields on November 18th, 1939 in Evansville, Indiana. Mrs. Fields moved to Tucson, Arizona in 1959 with her husband Robert and their 4 children. Mary had a devout faith in God and was a longtime member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Tucson, Arizona. She and her husband Robert also spent many active years together in Tucson with a shared passion for square dancing with the Old Pueblo Square Dance Center. Mary was also talented with regards to sewing, gardening, and loved to play card games with her grandchildren and travel the world with her husband and their friends. Mary is also preceded in death by her sister, Ann Vasquez; and by one great granddaughter, Jamie Arnold. She is survived by one brother Jim Riedford (June) of Evansville Indiana, and three sisters Kitty Gleason of Tucson, AZ; Evelyn Miller (Merle) of Tucson AZ; and Betty Cook of Phoenix, AZ. She is survived by her four children and their spouses, Robert Fields Jr. (Nugget) of Kasson MN; Michael Fields (Patricia) of Prescott, AZ; Dianne Arnold (Eddie) of Tucson, AZ; and John Fields (Deborah) of Vail, AZ. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren, and by the impending birth of 2 additional great grandchildren expected in November. A public viewing will be conducted on Thursday, October 29th at 4:30pm at BRING's Broadway Chapel at 6910 E. Broadway Blvd, Tucson, AZ. A Rosary Service will follow immediately afterwards at 5pm. A funeral mass service will be held at 10am on Friday, October 30th at St. Francis De Sales Church at 1375 S. Camino Seco, Tucson, AZ. Burial to follow at Our Lady of the Desert Cemetery.
