Obituary of Dorothy LaRue Tyger Sloane

Dorothy L. Tiger Sloane a wonderful women, mom, wife and friend left us on Monday, January 11, 2016. Dorothy was born in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. She grew up in Reynoldsville, Pennsylvania. After graduating high school, she moved to Washington D.C. worked at the FBI while saving money to go to nursing school. During this time, she met George who was in the military. George and Dorothy were married and transferred to England. They were then transferred in 1959 to Tucson. Dorothy graduated St Mary's School of Nursing. She had a wonderful career as a nurse. Even though she retired in 1977, she continued to help people and have made a difference with people life's. Dorothy was loving and forgiving. She is survived by her husband George of 61 years; Children, Robert, Diane and Ed; Grandchildren, Haylie, Justine Britt, Adam, Desi and Alex; Great-granddaughter, Emalyn.
