Obituary of Mildred C. Nink

Mildred Catherine Nink; age 90 of Tucson, Arizona died January 27th 2016. She was born March 29th 1925. She was raised in Canton, Ohio and is from a family of seven. Milly traveled, with her husband Ed who was in the Navy for 22 years, to many exotic places. Milly and Ed raised their five children with much love and dedication. After moving to Tucson she worked at a Revco drug store until she earned her real estate license and began her 40 year career in Tucson. Many of Milly's clients whom she served became her lifelong friends. Milly always had a smile on her face, loved people and was always excited to meet new ones. Milly and Ed had a gift for hospitality and were always inviting people to their home for BBQ's. Milly had a great love for bridge, dominoes and card games. In later years, she still played bridge with many of her good friends. Milly and Ed enjoyed fishing and camping when their kids were young but continued even into retirement years. Milly loved to go to all sporting events (basketball, volleyball, baseball, & swimming) involving her children and grandchildren. She was an avid and enthusiastic fan. Her dog Katie was a close companion especially in her later years. Milly was a very generous and giving person and she died with a silent dignity, surrounded by her family. Milly loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ but in this world nothing compared to her joy and love for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Milly is survived by her children Carl Nink, Linda DeBerry, Sheri Clarkson, Eddy Nink and Carol Betts as well as 13 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and her sister Mary. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday February 5th 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Pius church 1800 North Camino Pio Decimo. A graveside service will follow at All Faiths Memorial Park, 2151 South Avenida los Reyes; her grandson, Pastor Justin DeBerry will be officiating the ceremony. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sheepfold of Arizona, a shelter, refuge, and new beginning for abused woman & children.
