Obituary of Portia M. Grinage

Portia Marora Grinage (nee Wallace), oldest daughter of the late Albert and Portia Wallace was born December 5, 1921 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She attended the Public School System of Philadelphia., PA., graduating from Overbrook High School. In 1940 Portia married the late Osborn A. Grinage Sr.. From this union two children were born, Osborn Jr. and Portia Hayward as well as one granddaughter Renee Hampton. She had three siblings, two brothers, Albert Eugene & Harold both deceased and one sister Gladys Scott. She moved to Tucson AZ in 1976. Portia was a very hard working woman, retiring from the Penn Fruit Co. in Philadelphia, PA and then from Tucson Unified School District (TUSD) in Tucson AZ. She is survived by: a son Osborn A. Grinage, Jr, daughter Portia M. Hayward, one granddaughter (Renee Hampton & family), 2 nephews (Dwight McGraw & family& Michael Wallace & Family) and one niece (Michelle Elliot & family), and a host of friends.
