Obituary of Elizabeth Anne Tabis

Betty was born on the Mediterranean isle of Malta. She and family arrived in Devonport, England when she was 1.5 years old. She graduated from holy Redeemer High School and won a four year scholarship but World War II began and she had to go to work to help support family. She received a degree later in cosmetology, was an executive secretary for automatic electric in the Chicago area, was president of the Daughters of the British Empire and a delegate until her death, president of the Arizona Polish Club - Tucson , a singer and pianist, a volunteer for the American Cancer Society, a volunteer for the Golden Angels in Tucson and wrote their newsletter.
