Obituary of CMSgt. Marvin L. Manley, USAF

Marvin L. Manley was born in Tecumseh, Nebraska on July 29th, 1938. He entered into rest peacefully at his home on May 19, 2016. Marvin was preceded in passing by his infant daughter, Toni Lynn. Survivors include his wife Dolores, Daughters Marva (David) Merritt and Cheryl (James) Myers; grandchildren Nathan Merritt, Alisha (Jacob) Castor, Krysta Myers and Angeli Myers; great granddaughter Emma Marie Castor, all of Tucson, Arizona. A brother Norman (Kathy) Manley of Murray, Nebraska, a sister, Wanda Evans of Marshalltown, Iowa and many loving nieces and nephews. Marvin never met a stranger and loved a good laugh. He was proud of his family and was especially proud of his great granddaughter, Emma. As a young man he enjoyed scuba diving, water skiing, and was on the Aquatic Team which was a voluntary search and rescue team. His passion was flying his Bonanza and spending time at his hangars at Ryan Field. His love of Airplanes and flying led to the start of his business, "Hangar 31 Aircraft Services." He proudly served 27 years in the United States Air Force. He completed two tours of duty in Vietnam. He was stationed in Korea, Okinawa, England and the United States. Finally in 1975, he made Tucson, Arizona his home. He loved the warmth of the desert. Marvin will be buried with full military honors. Visitation will be held on Tuesday May 24, 2016 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm at Bring's Broadway Chapel 6910 East Broadway, Tucson. Funeral Mass will be offered Wednesday May 25, 2016 at 10:00 AM at our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church 1800 South Kolb Road, Tucson. Burial will immediately follow in Our Lady of The Desert Cemetery 2151 South Avenida Los Reyes, Tucson, with full military honors by The Davis Monthan Base honor Guard. Reception immediately following at Our Mother of Sorrows Parish Activity Center.
