Obituary of Mary Sharee Gooch

Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Mary Sharee Gooch left her earthly home on March 4, 2022. Sharee was born October 25, 1940 in Roosevelt Utah, to Jess Enoch Hullinger and Osa Hullinger. She was the fifth daughter born to Osa and Jess. As a child she grew up helping her Dad with the farm chores and had many responsibilities inside the home as well. She learned to drive by driving trucks and tractors on the farm . She had a happy and cheerful countenance which she carried over to her motherhood years raising 8 children of her own. She was involved in many clubs in high school, school dances and the homemaking arts. She had a very competitive nature and always said how much she wished she could have played sports growing up. Her favorite activity was watching all her children and grandchildren compete in sports and music. She was a very vocal supporter! Upon graduating from Union High School in 1958 she attended Brigham Young University for a while and eventually moved to Mesa Arizona where she worked in a dental office. Mesa was where she met her husband Gary T Gooch and they were married in the Salt Lake City Temple on December 27, 1963. Sharee was an exceptional homemaker and that is where she shined. She loved being a mother to her eight children. She was an excellent cook, skilled seamstress, gardener, and kept a sparkling clean home. She loved finding ways to beautify her home and life. She loved nothing more than attending all the games and activities of her children and grandchildren. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and spent many years in leadership callings in the women's organization of the church. She was always willing to work and serve on various school committees and booster clubs. She was a woman of faith, a friend to all, a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to live life, always open to exploring new adventures, she will truly be missed!
Sharee was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Gary; and siblings Bonnie, Lorraine, Diane, Barbara, Patsy, and Jesse.
