Obituary of Carlos Joseph Sandoval

Carlos Joseph Sandoval 4/30/1994 - 12/31/2011 Beloved Carlos was a Boy Scout and Honor Roll Student at St. Joseph's Catholic School. He continued to excel as an Honor Roll student at Salpointe Catholic High School. Carlos was awarded the Presidential Award for academic excellence and admitted into the National Society of Outstanding Seniors. Carlos was looking forward to graduating from Salpointe High School in May of 2012. Carlos loved sports. He played football, baseball, volleyball and soccer. Carlos was recently accepted by many Universities such as Dartmouth, Marymount, Northern Arizona University and The University of Arizona. Carlos recently interviewed for admission to Harvard University of Cambridge. Carlos is survived by his loving parents, Caryl Massey Sandoval and Steven Gary Sandoval; brother, Steven Sabino; sister, Marina Isabel; grandparents, Robert Schrader of Murrieta, California, Clara Sandoval and Oscar Franco; aunts and uncles, Joan Massey Shue (Randy) of Claremont, California, Patricia Sandoval Taylor (John), Gene Sandoval (Julie); cousins, Marissa, Lauren and Brendon Shue, Alina and Anis Taylor, Andrea Trevino (Danny), D'Andre Trevino and Adam Sandoval. Carlos was preceded in death by his grandmother, Jean Pascoe Schrader and grandfathers, Richard Joseph Massey and Michael G. Sandoval. Carlos was very much loved by his family, friends, educators and all who knew him. Rest with the angels, Carlos. A Rosary will be held Saturday, January 7, 2012, at 10:30 a.m., followed by a Mass and celebration of life at 11:00 a.m., Saint Joseph's Catholic Church, 215 S. Craycroft Rd., Tucson, Arizona 85710.
