Obituary of Maureen Whitaker

Maureen Lillian Whitaker Of Tucson, AZ, passed away on May 14, 2012. She was born October 1, 1932 in Honolulu, HI. She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore (Ted) Lee Whitaker and her sons John M. Whitaker and Robert L. Whitaker. She is survived by her sister Jerry Draper; daughter Elisabeth (Ellen) King; Daughter-in-Law Louise Whitaker; grandchildren Kristen King, Lauren Montano, Bradford Whitaker, Tee Whitaker; great grandson Aryes Montano; and other cherished friends and family. Maureen was an avid golfer and a two time president of the Gold Star Wives association in Tucson. She worked as a schoolteacher and telephone operator. She was also a painter and had a passion for the arts. Her wonderful sense of humor and positive outlook on life will be greatly missed by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Franklin Road Academy, 4700 Franklin Road 37220, Nashville, TN. A private graveside service will be held at the Ft.
