Obituary of John W. O'Dell

John W. O'Dell, 87, passed away December 14, 2012. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Barbara, daughters, Christine O'Dell (Morrise Luckey), Vicki Monroe, grandson, William Russell, sister, Patricia Vorhis, brother, Jim O'Dell and nieces and a nephew. John was born in South Bend, Indiana on June 21, 1925. He was a veteran of WWII and a member of the American Legion. He was a teacher and a basketball coach in Oklahoma and at both Tucson High School and Palo Verde High School and Buena High School in Sierra Vista. He was one of the co-founders of Southern Arizona Retired Coaches and Officials Co. of Arizona (SARCOA). His love for his family and his passion for sports continued throughout his life. A Memorial Service will be held, 10:30 am, Saturday, December 29, 2012, at Fellowship Square, 8111 E. Broadway.
