Obituary of Beatrice May Stanford

Beatrice (Bea) May Stanford, born August 28, 1935 in Duluth MN, passed away at the age of 77 at 1:10 a.m. on January 6th 2013 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Tucson. Bea is survived by her devoted husband of nearly 60 years Clint Stanford. She was preceded in death by one son, Steven Stanford, and is survived by five children and their spouses: Kathryn (and Dan) Wristen of Vista, CA, Michael Stanford (and Catherine) of Tucson, AZ, Craig (and Jennifer) Stanford of Peoria, IL, Gary (and Mary) Stanford of San Marcos, CA, and David Stanford, Albuquerque, NM. She is also survived by four bothers: Al, Ross, Frank, and Danny Asperheim all of MN, fourteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Many more called her affectionately “Grandma Bea.” Bea and Clint hail from MN and IL, respectively, but have lived in Tucson since 1981 and have been Tucsonians at heart from day one. Bea owned her own realty and property management business but her first loves were her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Bea will be missed by all those she loved and cared for throughout her life. She will be remembered for her devotion, loyalty, generosity, laughter, the gift of gab, and colorful phrases. Visitation will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 10th, 2013. A devotional service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Rev. Craig Stanford will officiate.
