Obituary of Norman Eugene Thompson

Norman Eugene Thompson-"Tom" 1929-2013 84, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, February 5, 2013, at his home, of natural causes. Born in New Kensington, PA in 1929, Tom joined the Air Force in 1951. Luckily for him he was to meet his "English Rose", Irene McNuff while stationed in England. Tom retired in 1974 from the Air Force. Tom was a lover of all outdoor activities, especially fishing! He loved his Steelers, fish fry's and hearty debates with family and friends! And he was the best Christmas tree decorator ever! Survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Irene Thompson, he leaves behind beloved children; Donna Urling, Karen Conway (Kevin), Lauri Martin (Daniel), and Stephen Thompson (Katherine). Nine adoring grandchildren, Brandon, Rachel, Shaun, Kyle, Renee, Paige, Jacob, Michael and Christopher and two great-granddaughters, Kinsley and Ella. Tom will be buried with full military honors, Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at 10:00 a.m., at the Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, in Sierra Vista, AZ. Papa: The family has it on good authority that the fishin' is the greatest in Heaven! Until we meet again, we shall miss you every day!!
