Obituary of Charles William Jacobs

Charles W. Jacobs passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on February 21, 2013. Charlie was born in Indianapolis, IN in 1923. He graduated from Manual High School in 1941, attended Purdue before joining the Army/Air Corp. He served our country from 1943 to 1945. He moved to Tucson in 1968 and owned three Midas Muffler Shops before retiring in 1987. He was an avid golfer and an active, long-time member of Rolling Hills Golf Club. Charlie was predeceased by his daughter, Barbara; his brother, Bob; three nephews, Richard (Bower), Bobby, John and stepson, Brian (Barnes). He is survived by the love of his life for 33 years, Donna; children, Rick (Chrissy), Sharon, Claudia, Bill (Sherry), Donna (Rick), Jo Jerald, Lynn, David, Craig (Sarah), Dawn and stepdaughter, Jennifer Chirco (Joe); 15 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren with one more on the way, four step-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by mother-in-law, Onnolee Mosher; sisters, Mary Bower (George), Barbara Durrett, Dru Peterson and brother, Roy along with many, many loyal and close friends. Heaven has just gained a great man who will surely being shooting par! Memorial Services will be held Wednesday, February 27, 2013, 10:30 a.m. at BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL.
