Obituary of Joseph M. Testin

Joseph Morand Testin (aka Uncle Joe) joined his parents, Dr. Henry Stephen Testin and Angela Morand Testin, in the arms of the Lord, on September 13, 2013, in Tucson, Arizona. Joe was born in Chicago, Illinois on May 19, 1927. He attended St. Leo's High School. Joe served his country during WWII in the Army. He attended college at Notre Dame University and relocated to Tucson, Arizona due to his health. During his life in Tucson, Joe took care of his Mother and Aunt Marie, and many family members. Joe never married or had any children of his own but, raised many children during his lifetime. He was a prominent member of the Catholic Church and community; he donated a true piece of the cross to the Saint David Monastery. He is best known by his nieces and nephews as "Dear Sweet Lovable Uncle Joe", he was a man who loved to tease and be teased. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He is preceded in death by his siblings, Jeanne Testin Petroshus, Angela Testin Kern, Henry Stephen Testin and his nephews, John "Augie" Petroshus and Jeffrey A. Petroshus. He is survived by nephews, Joseph S. (Janine) Petroshus, James A. (Darlene) Petroshus, Stephen (Lupe) Kern, Tommy Kern and nieces, Jeananne (Vincent-deceased) DeMeis, Judith (William) Mastin, Cheryl Petroshus, Carol Petroshus and Laurie Jenkins. His many great-nieces and nephews, John, Joe and Jeremy Petroshus, Jennifer Haley, Justin, Stephanie, Jeffrey and Debbie Petroshus, Kathy, Kenny and Christy Johnson, Sandy Walden, Jason, Cameron, Travis and Wesley Kern, Peter, Karen, Susan, Christina, and Maria DeMeis, Connor, Shawn and Kristen Jenkins. He also had many great-great-nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 3:00 to 4:00 pm, Sunday, September 22, 2013 at BRING'S MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 236 S. Scott Ave. Rosary recited at 4:00 pm. Mass will be offered 11:00 am, Monday, September 23, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 601 E. Fort Lowell Rd. Burial to follow at Holy Hope Cemetery.
