Obituary of Mike Sheehan

Michael Robert Sheehan (Mike), 85, joined his beloved wife, Marie, in eternal rest on Tuesday, Dec 3, 2013. Mike was born in Roseton,NY on Aug 25, 1928 to Michael and Margaret Sheehan(deceased).He attended Canton Agricultural and Technical Institute(now Canton College) where he met his future wife, Marie Catlin. He received his Associates Degree in 1950. Mike and Marie entered holy matrimony on Apr 4, 1951. Mike served two years in the Army during the Korean War. He worked as a Mechanical Engineer/Manager for IBM where he retired in 1984 after 32 years of service. Mike was extremely proud of his Irish ancestry (100%!) and visited Ireland several times. His greatest source of pride and joy was his dedication to his family. He was lovingly devoted to his wife, five children, twenty one grandchildren and two great-grandchildren Mike was predeceased by his son, Kevin, of Saugerties, NY. He is survived by his sister, Jean Kraft, of Maybrook, NY, his daughter, Gina Montgomery (Rogers) of Tucson, and his sons, Patrick of Canal Fulton, OH, Timothy (Beth) of Tucson and Joseph (Josephine) of Tucson, and friend and brother-in-law, Roger Catlin (Barb) and family also of Tucson. Mike was the rock upon which his family was built. His generous heart and tremendous sense of humor will be sorely missed by his friends and family. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 pm, Tuesday, December 10, 2013, at BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway, with Rosary recited at 7:00 pm. Mass will be offered 10:00 am, Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, 1375 S.
