Obituary of Shirley Ingram Rudd

Shirley I. Rudd was born in Niagara Falls, NY on October 13, 1934, the daughter of Lawrence Ingram, Sr. and Clella Haught. Her brother, Lawrence Ingram, Jr. was born on March 28, 1938. The family later moved to Cleveland, Ohio where Shirley attended public school, graduating from Lakewood High School in 1952. She met John F. Rudd while attending Western Reserve University in 1954; the couple married in June of that year. They moved to Midland, MI where they raised their family - John Jr., Mary Ann (James), Timothy, Nancy Sue (Repshas), Laura Jeanne, Margaret and Rose Anne (Froneberger). In addition to her family responsibilities, Shirley enjoyed travel, playing golf and serving the community in various capacities, such as Northern MI Hospital Gift Shop (Petoskey, MI), Embroiderer's Guild, Birchwood POA Secretary (Harbor Springs, MI) and Eucharistic Minister at St. Pius X Catholic Church (Tucson, AZ). Shirley will be greatly missed by her friends, family and five grandchildren. Memorial Service 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 11, 2014 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1800 N. Camino Pio Decimo.
