Obituary of Joanelle Julianne Bartholomew

Joanelle Julianne Bartholomew, 77 peacefully passed away Tuesday January 21, 2014 at her home in Tucson, Arizona. She was born March 24, 1936 in Mason City, Iowa. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Gary C. Bartholomew (Bart); sons Blain T. Price, Dana R. (Lilly) Price, and Gary R. Bartholomew; grandchildren Domonic Price, Gina (Tim) Rodriguez, Johnny (Luanne) Price, and Dana (Matt) Demarse-Rote, James Price, Melissa Price, Jessica Price; and five great-grandchildren. Joanelle was preceded in death by her first husband John W. Price; her son John R. Price; sister Julie A. Johnson-Stochich; brother Jack Johnson; father Joseph Johnson; and mother Ella Johnson. Joanelle graduated from Park County High School in Livingston, Montana. She attended Montana State College and eventually attended Mesa Community College where she was as art major. Gary and Joanelle moved several times with his jobs with Sears and Target. They first lived in Tucson, and then moved to Phoenix, Flagstaff, Mesa, Virginia Beach, VA, and lastly Tucson for the last 21 years. Gary retired in 2002. They spent their summers in Livingston, Montana. Joanelle loved arts, crafts, travelling, and cooking. She loved her husband and sons more than one can say, along with being a special grandmother. She truly adored her dachshunds and she will be missed by all who had the honor of knowing her. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 29, 2014 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 East Broadway Tucson, Arizona. A memorial service will be held in Livingston, Montana at a later date with inurnment to take place in Mountain View Cemetery.
