Obituary of Ruth Alfretta Bersbach

Ruth Alfretta Bersbach was born Ruth Alfretta Loucks to Herman Loucks and Ruth Helen (Penny) On November 3, 1921 in Schenectady, New York. She had one sister Jean Roberta Loucks (1919). Their mother passed away when Ruth was six. Herman needing to work during the depression placed his girls in a children's home where he met and later married Edith Louise Waterfall, the home's director. Together they had Ruth's brother Charles Loucks (1931) Ruth married Alfred Bersbach in Schenectady (1941), moved to Los Angeles, then to Tucson where they became founding members of St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church. She and Alfred were also members of Trinity Episcopal Church in Fillmore, California. Together they had four boys, Alfred, Robert, Peter & Richard. She is survived by all her children, and by all her Grandchildren, Patrick, Tom, Susan, Charles, Brian and Christopher. She has Five Great, great grandchildren, Jake, Nate, Jack, Elena, and Oasis. She has passed on in God's hands on February 12, 2014.
