Obituary of Elvira Plewa

Elvira Zelenak Plewa of Tucson passed away Sunday, March 23, 2014 - she was 85. She was originally from the Bronx N.Y. but made Tucson her home for the last 40 years. Elvira worked as an administration assistant for most of her career. She worked at the Museum of Natural History in NYC before heading out to Arizona with her husband Walter. She retired from the University of Arizona Museum of Art after 14 years of serving the Wildcats well. Go Cats. Elvira is survived by Jonathan Wade Zelenak, Greg Zelenak and Joseph Zelenak (nephews) and Caitlyn Paquin (niece). Joseph Plewa (nephew) Services will be held at Our Mother of Sorrows Church, 1800 S. Kolb Rd. on Monday, March 31st at 11:30 am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation is made to the Wounded Warrior project in Elvira and Walter Plewa's name.
