Obituary of Shirley Jeanne Schmidt

Shirley Jeanne Schmidt, 86, of Vail, AZ born September 19, 1927 in Peoria, IL went to be with the Lord on March 27, 2014. She is survived by her husband, Ted of nearly 70 years, two daughters, Sandra (Ken) Eaton of East Peoria, IL, Sharon (Floyd) Short of Fernley, NV, stepdaughter, Threasa (Lee) Earp of Estero, FL, two sisters, Harriet Weber and Mary Sandlin both of Pekin, IL. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and twelve great-great grandchildren and many, many nieces and nephews. Shirley was a singer from the age of six appearing on the radio show, "Juvenile Theater" in Peoria, IL until the present singing with the "Southern Arizona Old Time Fiddler's Association". Broadway, Tucson, AZ A celebration of her life will be from 12 noon to 3 pm on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at The Voyager Resort, in the Catalina room, 8701 S. Kolb Rd., Tucson, AZ .
