Obituary of Michael W. Zakis

Michael W. Zakis DTM, 66, died Saturday April 12, 2014. He was born in Chicago, IL to the late Edward and Elsie Zakis. Married to Carol Zakis February 9, 1974. Mike was the owner of Higher Vistas LLC, a life coach, public speaker, mentor and an avid member of Toastmasters for many years. He was also a passionate supporter of the youth in Tucson, with the Upward Bound Program and Youth Leadership at Desert View High School. He was an Air Force veteran and Viet Nam Vet. Mike is survived by his wife, Carol; brother Robert (Janice) Zakis; sister Patricia Snell; brother Edward (Mona) Wollard. He is preceded in death by brother Stephen Zakis. No services are scheduled at this time. A Celebration of his life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to the charity of your choice.
