Obituary of Sybil Qjett John
Sybil Qjett Hayes John
Uncharacteristic of the life she lived, on April 12, 2014, Sybil Qjett Hayes
John quietly and without fanfare danced into the warm embrace of God. Born
in the depression era in rural Alabama, Q, as she was known to her friends,
possessed the charm, personality, and strong character of a true Southern
Lady. Graced with good health, a gregarious personality, and natural beauty,
Q lived to dance, talk, and socialize. She ran with a crowd that believed
any occasion should be celebrated with talk, food, drink, music, dance and
more talk. Only recently, and with genuine surprise, she discovered that her
small body could not keep pace with the music tapping her feet and the
rhythm driving her heart. Yet she will most be remembered as a mother to her
three children, Debbie, Mike and Dawn; grandmother to her five grandchildren
and a happy memory that will grow along with her five great-grandkids.
Visitation from 8:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 17, 2014, at
