Obituary of Irene Sternik

Irene (Sobczak) Sternik, 92, of Arizona, went to meet her heavenly Father on April 15, 2014. She passed away in the loving care of the staff of Grace Home, Tucson. Born January 29, 1922 in Milwaukee, WI, she worked as an assembler for many years and raised seven loving children. She retired with Ray, her husband, to Sun Lakes, Arizona where she enjoyed many wonderful years. Irene was an avid card player with hand and foot and pinochle being her favorites. She also loved to bake and was best known for her delicious cheesecake creations. Irene was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Sr., son Raymond Jr. and daughter, Claudia Sternik. Survivors include daughters Karen (Del) Farago, Christine (Bob) Nowak, Cindy (Wade) Ramey, Carolynn Key, and Carmen (Louis) Meyers, ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held Friday May 9, 2014 at 11:00am at St. Rita in the Desert Church, Vail, Arizona.
