Stacey Landrum

Obituary of Stacey Joanne Landrum

Stacey Joanne Landrum, 41, joined her Savior in heaven on May 16, 2014. She leaves behind many family members: Loving husband, Scott, and their precious son, Lucas; parents, Don (Alexa) Bush and Joanne and Lee Bowman; brother, Gary Roberts (deceased), nephew, Gary (Dawn) and niece, Michelle; brother, Ken (Kathy) Roberts, nephews, Keith, Adam and Evan; sister, Sherrie (Randy) Livingston, nephews, Kevin and Jacob; sister, Pam (Steve) Newell; brother Donald Bush Jr., brother, William C. Bush (aka Billy) and many in the extended family. Stacey met Scott while working at Bookman's. It was love at first sight. Over the next five years. their love and friendship grew. They were married in 2003 in a simple ceremony with family and a few close friends. During their marriage, they were each other's best friend and loved each other deeply. Stacey adored her man, and Scott loved Stacey unconditionally. They welcomed their son Lucas into their world and he was the completion of their family. Raising Lucas was their shared goal and they poured their energies into molding him into a fine boy. Stacey was very nurturing and encouraged Lucas' intelligence and abilities. Stacey and Scott shared a passion for music and Lucas' ability on the piano is the embodiment of that passion. When Lucas was a toddler, the family started attending El Camino Baptist Church and became involved in service there. Stacey was an enthusiastic member of Mothers of Preschoolers and made many friends through that ministry. She was also involved in the AWANA program for Lucas' age group. Outside of El Camino, Stacey served in a mentoring program called Young Lives. She worked with young moms who didn't have anyone to show them how to be a good mom. She had a heart for young women going through difficult situations. Stacey was a very outgoing and caring person. She had been through difficult life situations, but was able to use those to reach out to other people. After surrendering her life to Christ, she was able to use her tattoos as a way to talk to young women about how Christ had changed her life. Stacey and Scott spent many nights talking into the early hours of the morning. One topic they discussed was the After Life. She believed we are rewarded with a place in Heaven when we place our faith in Jesus. She shared that belief with others, including her older brother Gary, before he passed away, We have that same confidence for Stacey. Because of Jesus' sacrifice and Stacey's faith, we know that she is with her Savior now. She is experiencing the joy set before each one of us, and one day, we will share that joy with her in Heaven.
