Obituary of Carol Mary Sausa

Carol Sausa (nee Krasinski) was born in Brooklyn, NY on Dec. 14, 1943. She moved to Tucson, Arizona in 2003 (where her daughter and granddaughter lived) to escape the cold NY winters after she was diagnosed with Scleroderma….a rare auto-immune disease. Carol loved life and loved to laugh and dance. Her home in New York was always filled with her daughter's friends who all referred to her as "mom". She was always there for everyone. There wasn't a more kind and generous soul. She struggled to provide for and raise her 2 daughters alone when being a single mom wasn't "cool". Always sacrificing for them and putting their needs ahead of her own. Her unconditional love was the heart and soul of our family. Carol had just moved into a guest house in her daughter's backyard about 6 weeks ago with her mother, Mary and a full-time caregiver. Our hearts are broken for this unexpected loss. She left us way too soon. We still had more time to spend and things to do together after moving closer to her family. Despite her physical challenges, Carol had the most incredible outlook on life. Her love for life and family despite these challenges are a testament to her strength and courage…battling Scleroderma all these years. Carol is survived by her mother, Mary Krasinski Bledsoe (nee Janowski), Daughters Frances Lieberman (nee Sausa) and Carol Lee Taylor (nee Sausa), Granddaughter, Nicole Scott, Son-in-Law, James "Jeff" Taylor, sisters-in-law, Fran Krasinski and Marta Krasinski and her best friend since childhood, Janet Stanley. To our beloved Daughter, Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Friend, we love you more, more, more! We hope that you are finally dancing again in Heaven! We will miss you more than you will ever know! The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Scleroderma Foundation in her memory and as a tribute to her long hard fight against this terrible disease.
