Obituary of Joseph McDonald Fillerup

FILLERUP, Joseph McDonald, passed away October 19, 2014. He was preceded by Mitzi, his wife of 62 years; a son, a granddaughter and two great- grandchildren and nine siblings. He is survived by five children, 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Born in Lovell, Wyoming on January 9, 1923, Joseph served in World War II. He completed three missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in many capacities in his church. He received his doctorate in education and retired from the University of Arizona. He was known for his good advice, compassion and generosity and sense of humor. Services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at 939 West Chapala Drive on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. A Viewing will be held from 9:30 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. at the same location. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the LDS missionary fund would be appreciated.
