Obituary of Virginia Sanders

It is with sadness and joy we share this news; Virginia Nell Sanders left the cares of this world and now rests peacefully in the arms of the Lord. Virginia passed away on November 20, 2014. She was born on November 3, 1924 in Morrilton, Arkansas; the third eldest of eight daughters to Vernon and Blanche Patterson. She grew up in Yuma, Arizona and always loved the beautiful desert southwest. Sandy and Virginia met in Yuma, Arizona in 1940 when he was stationed there with the U.S. Calvary. She always said she loved a man on horseback. She was a caring and loving mother to her five children and a loving wife to her husband. Together with their children, Sandy and Virginia traveled the world with the Air Force and lived in many locations in the Far East. She will be missed so much by those left behind but we rejoice with her being united with her loved ones in heaven. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Sandy, daughter Nancy, grandsons Christopher and Justin and four sisters, Helen, Laverne, Nancy and June. She is survived by her four children, Sandra, Gary, Danielle and Jody; 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be announced for early 2015.
