James Dantzler

Obituary of James Lewis Dantzler

James Lewis Dantzler III The rock of the family must have certain qualities, the most important of these are, determination, discipline, and dedication. James Lewis Dantzler III strived for these qualities in his 79 years of life. Determination- He spent his childhood in and out of boarding schools, instead of making excuses and following the negative statistics, he beat them. He then led his life the way he wanted, not the way he was shown. With his education he earned a Bachelor's of arts degree from the University of Arizona. He took his career very seriously, retiring from active duty, also from civil service, and then started with Raytheon. Discipline- Through the army he gained the discipline, drive, and selflessness that propelled him into a successful 25 year career, accomplishing the rank of first sergeant. Followed by another successful 25 year career in civil service, accomplishing the rank of GS12. He then applied that same discipline into every aspect of his life; the way he raised his children, the type of husband he was, and above all his faith and following in the word of God. Dedication- The biggest dedication to another person, 56 years of strong, supportive, healthy, loving, and blessed marriage. Sticking with his belief system, some would describe as iron-willed. His love and sacrifice for his country. His love for his family was so strong it kept him dedicated to being a wise and supportive patriarch, protecting and guiding his family thru all of their struggles and hardships. James Lewis Dantzler III, remembering him as our family rock. With his continuous acts of determination, discipline, and dedication, he now receives his highest medal of honor and rank, in the presence of Jesus.
