Obituary of Teresa Fumi Augustyn

Teresa Fumi Augustyn, 81, who accompanied her husband to Army posts in Europe and the U.S., died April 13, 2015 in Tucson where she lived for the past 17 years. Mrs. Augustyn was a native of Okinawa, Japan where she attended Tsuha High School and came to the United States in 1958. She was active in the Okinawa Kai of Washington D.C., a club of people from Okinawa, and performed Okinawan folk dances wearing elaborate kimono-like costumes. Her husband, retired Sergeant Major Bernard M. Augustyn preceded her in death April 14, 2014.
